Originally  Where are you trying to produce the tone, in the radio speaker, or via RF to another location?

I need a tone in the speaker, this is needed in racecars to tell the driver to gearshift without them to look at shiftlights.
With the motorola GM i know i can program a channel switch to an unprogrammed channel that gives me an error tone that is enough to tell the driver to gearshift, on the kenwood this way is not an option since the sw checks for errors in channels assigments.
